CB Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 (edited) Finally got around to putting the finishing touches on my 51 Fleetliner AMT Classic. Removed trim and drilled trim mounting holes (a little too big, but did want to see them), added air valves to rims, sanded Fire-year or Good-stone stuff off tires and hand painted the wide whites. Cut center of grille out and replaced with sheet metal 'teeth'. Distressed remaining chrome. Was gonna do the BMF on the window & door trim, but chickened out (I think I just got off my meds at the time ) and just painted them silver chrome. Paint is hodgepodge of black laquer primer, then some flat red, then more black which I indiscriminately sanded off to reveal the red. Glad it's done. Now I can move on Edited December 26, 2008 by CB
Raul_Perez Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 The teeth scream "Animal House"!! Yeah, the holes for the trim might be a little big, but back then they needed a bit of extra room to align the body panels and the trim... Thanks for sharing,
Bernard Kron Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 (edited) I wondered what happened t0 that one. Sits nice and looks great. Love the distressed bumpers and "personal touch" on the grill. Edited December 27, 2008 by gbk1
