Hobby Wheels- reputable or a scam

Has anyone dealt with this company? I ordered a model from them in mid Feb. & on Feb. 19 my order was confirmed & the money taken from my bank. So far I haven't heard a thing from them. I've emailed them twice & nothing. Maybe I'm rushing things but that's why I'm  wondering if anyone here has heard of them or had any problems with them before I contact my bank to try & get my money back.

Not sure if it's accurate to call them scammers, but Joe Z recently reported here that they (or one of their multiple internet storefront names) were finally being shut down or taken to court or...yeah, best avoided.

I think this is basically the same company that’s been doing business for years under different names. Hobby Models, Internet Models, etc. I am not sure how or why they continue to be in business based on all the BBB complaints Parent Company

Hey Guys,

Just received an email from a company named 'Model Kit Closeouts' from Mayfield, Pennsylvania.  Don't know how they got my email except, a week ago I tried to order something from 'Hobby Models' and my order would not go through.  But of course, I did have to enter my CC number and email to place the order.  Then I find out, after researching on The Forum and the internet, that 'Hobby Models', (among its other names), is highly suspect.

The point is, 'Model Kit Closeouts' is located in South Canaan, Pennsylvania which is suspiciously close to Mayfield. 

May want to approach with great caution!

Hobby models is a scam site. I ordered a model from them about a year ago & never got it. After a month & not getting the model I emailed them quite a few times & called them a number of times & never got an answer. My bank reimbursed me but it took a couple of months.There rating are horrible . They also go by the name Internet Hobbies. Avoid them like the plague.
