buba39 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 i got a queston for any one who has used house of kolor paints i painted my goon car artic gray metallic with house of kolor platinum as the top coat for soem reason the platinum made the artic gray metallic come off the plastic is this normal? i had the same problem useing house of kolor metallic blue with boyds metallic blue it seems like the paint becomes like fine sand do i got a bad batch of paint or?

Can someone say Chemical Reaction?Dude don't use testors or model master with HOK.HOK is a "hot" paint it will mess up the testors and modelmasters in a heart beat.

I have very little paint problems, I keep it simple and try a sample on something scrap if I have my doubts. I secretly get a kick out of people who post about "lacquer over enamel" woes. Call me sadistic but it gets me through the day. Bob

Bob True that.It is funny when someone comes in here and says what did i do wrong then posts a pic of the paint.We asked what he used and he answers i with he used enamel primer and lacquers over it.I can not tell you how funny it is to me(its way past rolling on the floor laughin and close to going to the hospital for surgury and a oxygen tank).
