Lifted ‘78 Elcy

This is the current issue of the Monogram ‘78 El Camino, with the decals from the lowrider 3 ‘n 1, with the red El Camino on the box. The wheels and tires are from a Monogram ‘76 Chevy Blazer kit. I lifted it about 5” or so. I also used the kit glass to fill in the rear side windows. The engine is from a AMT ‘66 442 kit.

I would have never considered a 4x4 ElCamino, but your build makes it look good!

Makes me wonder why Monogram didn't do this when they had the "High Roller" series back in the early 80s. If they could do it with a 69 Camaro, then why not this?

Thank You. The El Camino is still a 2wd. I saw a lifted El Camino once somewhat similar to mine and wanted to do a model similar to it. I’m going to build another one like it, but I’m going to scan the decals first and need to find another Monogram V8 to put under the hood.
