old-hermit Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 (edited) Started this on Christmas vacation. Rolling chassis is from a 1/8th scale Big T kit. The wooden body and a lot of the V-12 are scratch built. Still a lot to do. Edited January 21, 2009 by old-hermit
fordh8r Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Looking pretty cool so far. Can't wait to see more. This thing is pretty bad *ss.
Smart-Resins Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Al, this thing is looking supurb! You are outdoing yourself with this one! JOdy
fordh8r Posted January 11, 2009 Posted January 11, 2009 Looks as if an acrylic roof panel would fit nicely so the interior can still be easily seen. Where'd you get the 'Waste Management' barrel? That thing is cool, as far as scale items go.

I'm considering doing a full wood ceiling and leather roof just like a real one but haven't got the nerve up to tackle it yet. I got the trash can from Waste Management's R&B landfill in Homer Ga. They have a bunch of promo stuff.
old-hermit Posted April 18, 2009 Author Posted April 18, 2009 Every woody needs a surf board so I made one to look like an old time long board. It is made with birch plywood and sheetrock mud. The decals were disintegrating as I applied them so there are a few cracks. Makes it look like it's been used. My story and I'm sticking to it.
