Billy Kingsley Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 This is my latest completion. I actually finished it in Lake George, almost 3 weeks ago, but I have not gotten the chance to photograph it until yesterday. It is the AMT kit that was just issued recently. I believe it may have been an MPC kit at one point though. The paint is Tamiya Mica Red and the kit is box stock, although, I did drill a hole in the chassis to make the front sit lower to the ground. Thank you and enjoy the pictures! Unfortunatly I messed up when painting the door handle, I was just holding it at an odd angle, and it ruined the whole side of the car, IMO I didn't bring any Pontiac Engine blue with me, so I went with my stand by for customs, hot rods and whathaveyou, gold, for the engine. I have been experimenting with BMFing the scripts before paint, and it worked well, even if it did not photograph well. Thanks!
mrglubaum Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Nice Firebird, Billy! I like the way the scripts came out. That originally was an MPC kit, I have one of the old MPC boxes around here somewhere.
Matt T. Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 You nailed the stance, Billy! Great job, nice paint, and way to go on the "pre-paint BMF" work!
chuckinredneck Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 great job Billy Just remember the reason for mistakes is to learn from them so you don't keep repeating them. Chuck J
