m3m Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 (edited) I finished this a little while ago i built it for my wife, i started with an old beat up bigfoot kit, and used another cab, moved the rear wheel wells forward to a standard bed from the kits camper special, redid the floor etc. I did not have the mirrors or a few other things done in these pics. Everything on the but the engine and trans is scratch built on the frame-suspension. Steering works, shocks, etc. 428 cj from parts box, cut out the grill openings, molded the flares. I have a link to the wip i will post as well as a few pictures.. More pictures in my bucket. Thanks for looking and any comments. The link to the WIP.......... http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i105/nos...ew%20cab%20WIP/ Mirrors and plates on. Edited January 16, 2009 by Jeryd

m3m Posted January 16, 2009 Author Posted January 16, 2009 Thanks guys! The tires i got from rpp hobbie..... http://www.shop.rpphobby.com/category.sc?categoryId=34 They are the 49' irocks. The wheels are homemade ones, using centers from the same place, and aluminum tubbing.

Hondo Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) Although, I'm not much into the big 4 X 4 stuff, this is really a nice build, Jeryd. Years ago a friend bought a brand new '77 Ford XCab and fixed it up like this. It's still a very nice looking body style. I really like what you did to this one. Cool !!
