Its a bearded dragon and when i went to pick it out the pet store told me that i need to handel it 1 to 3 times a day for a hour or more.

So it isn't going to take alot of time out of modeling but it is going to take a bit of my time :D .

As for Bearded dragons,

You REALLY need special lighting for those, I would definitely read up on the care and keeping of them. (And I hope you don't get bit really.)

Good luck!!

My son has one named Thorn. And yes, you certainly do want to handle them daily. Move slowly when handling them and if the skin on his head and neck turns black, keep any body part you want to keep away. The black color change means he is frightened or pissed and he will give you a bite you won't soon forget. They need two types of light (heat and UV) so definitely read up on the care & feeding.

Lastly and most importantly, you will have to get a much bigger enclosure very soon. Like a goldfish the dragon will grow depending on the size of it's enclosure (up to the normal adult size of coarse). If the enclosure is too small then his growth will be stunted and it will harm him internally, which will dramaticly reduce his life span. I'll betcha the pet store guy didn't tell you that one.

If you'de like I can take some shots of my sons dragon and enclosure and drop you a PM. If you have any questions, let me know and either myself or my son will help you out if we can.

Hi Kevin, saw this li'l fella having a stroll down a busy road ne Nerja, Spain a few years back. We pointed him in a safer direction so he might have a better chance in life.

Can you tell me what he/she is? a Chamelian(spelling :) )

When I was growing up in Muscoy ,Calif., outside of San Berdoo, we used to catch lizards like this and play withum. We called um HORN TOADS.

They lived right under the surface in sandy soil, and were hard to spot until we learned what to look for.

We had big ol' tarantula's to play with too, but stayed way away from the "RATTLER'S" ;) .

Thats why I went to "self-feeding pets"......once every couple of days mist the habitat....every 2or3 weeks clean the same!!

and this is what else I can do while you play with your dragon!!

(cause I'm self feeding!!)

IF I remember correctly, that would be a Common Chameleon and yes, while they are cheap by Chameleon standards, they still are expensive. I used to run a reptile division of a small Vet-owned Pet Store. We would only special order Chameleons and they came with no guarantees. They are very hard to get acclimated to captivity. The Jackson's were the only species that was easily bred in captivity at the time. Things have most likely changed by now. Really fun creatures to play with. I alsways liked to freak them out by placing them on Plaid or tartan fabric :D Just kidding to all you PETA types :D
