1/43 Franklin Mint 1959 Ford Skyliner---buttwart and fender skirts removed

I think these are great models, especially for the time in which they were made. I usually prefer cars without Continental kits and fender skirts so I decided to modify two of these. The third is the way it came when new.

I ground off the fender skirts,  rear pan area, and modified the rear bumpers. I also lowered the rear suspension as I felt they sat too high in the back.

I like them much better this way and it isn't a hard job. I did not have to do any paint touchup.

Thanks Rich, I am humbled. I just enjoy sharing my models. I think this is a fun hobby.

Yes, it is and should be fun as far as I'm concerned. 

It wasn't as much fun back in the 80's when I built models for a living though, but I liked what I was doing most of the time.  Now I  build whatever I want, whenever i want. If I didn't enjoy it I would stop.  -Rich
