Trans Am Erik Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I have had this car for years and have decided to take it out of mothballs and finish it. This is the car that I have used as a guina pig for all of my crazy bodywork. Every inch of this car has been reworked...........and it's a big mess! It's been sectioned, had a roof graft that was a 6 inch chop. The headlights are laid back, it has a '50 Ford hood, reworked rear fenders, custom decklid, and a hand made roll pan. Wait till you see what I do to it now!!!
RJWood Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Well you have some work to do to smooth it out, but its a good start. Good luck, hope to see your progress on it.
Smart-Resins Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Wow, if you can save that poor soul and make a beautiful model out if it, then you are a better modeler then I am!! LOL. looking forward to seeing what ya do with it now! Jody
Trans Am Erik Posted February 2, 2009 Author Posted February 2, 2009 She's gonna need a whole new roof... AGAIN!!! So here's what I have brewing....... I just love that razor saw!
MikeMc Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 What Razor saw said ZonaMan...................
Manic Mechanic Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Now that is...... interesting......in a sick way
E St. Kruiser50 Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Now who'ed a thought of that??? IMAGINATION RULES!! . VERY COOL YOU MAY BE STARTING A NEW TREND HERE. I REALLY LIKE THE LOOK. I hope you can save the front Keep us posted - dave
Custom Hearse Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) That's looking good Erik! The Impala roof works! Another good roof is the Revell '67 Dodge Charger roof on the AMT Merc. I did an experiment with it and it worked good. It gave it a nice chopped top, fastback look without cutting the roof up. Keep up the great work! Edited February 17, 2009 by Custom Hearse
3men2s Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009   how you doing erick...nize to see you cutting and gluying man. this is a very radical project...will be a talking piece...keep us posted. how is the blue max exp project going?????...is it in the back burner?
Trans Am Erik Posted February 28, 2009 Author Posted February 28, 2009 The Blue Max is coming along. I'm just taking my time so I can be more acurate in the small details. She's in the engine shop right now. The Merc is like a 3D sketch, something to let the imagination run crazy on. I'm kinda making the car up as I go along.
