Chrislols Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Hello! I've recently completed my 2006 (AMT KIT) Chevy Camaro, and the car is all done, but because of my cat I've accidently gotten a small paint chip on the roof and rear, I'm looking for a way to spray that area without getting it on tail lights or windows? I'm thinking I could get a flat match stick and spray the end and smooth it over the areas? (They're very small inperfection)
raisin27 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 When I get a chip I dab paint into it with a paint brush in layers until its just above the serface of the finish. Then i sand it smooth with a fine sanding stick, then polish. Raisin

randx0 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 you are better off using a brush. just spray some paint into a disposable cup so you can use the brush do this in a well ventilated area .also let the paint rest a little bit before using if you can seal the cup with saran wrap so you can touch up later because it probably won't cover with one coat.this should get you close but for it to be better invest in a polishing kit that has several very fine sanding grits and the kits usually have everything you need to smooth out imperfections.
