64SS350 Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 Thought I'd share this with you all. Mike sold me this a few months ago, just got around to trying it. These are Texas 3D parts with MCW primer. I did not buff the primer, but it still comes out to look like bright aluminum. 1
Shark Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 Thanks for the information, my stash of metalizers is getting low and this my be a good replacement. Should be more durable also.
64SS350 Posted March 3, 2023 Author Posted March 3, 2023 He had stated he was working on more Metalizer finishes, but I haven't checked back. Someone purchased the local hobby shop from him and will continue to carry his paint line... thankfully! Here is another I haven't tried yet.
Shark Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 Mike did not sell his hobby shop, just relocated to the south to get closer to family. You will still be getting it from the same person, just from a different location.
64SS350 Posted March 3, 2023 Author Posted March 3, 2023 Yes, Mike relocated to the south, yes he will still be making the paint, but the shop in Massillon was sold to someone else and will carry the paint line.
Dpate Posted March 3, 2023 Posted March 3, 2023 Looks alright. There's just too many better options out there to warrant giving this a try. Alclad still #1 though lol.
