Dr. Cranky Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I might be late with this, but does anybody have any information on the actual release date for this kit? Have you guys seen it? Oh, it's a thing of beauty. All information is welcomed and much appreciated. http://www.revell.com/catalog/images/produ...ium/85-4227.jpg
Dr. Cranky Posted February 14, 2009 Author Posted February 14, 2009 Hum . . . . I guess nobody's heard of it or seen it. Keep your eyes open.
Lyle Willits Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 It's scheduled for later in the year. It's the reissued 24th scale '36 Ford that Monogram has had since 1962 (give or take a year) with some new parts, such as the LaSalle grille. I'll be really surprised if they do new fender units with the sunken headlights like in the photo, but anything is possible.
Casey Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Hum . . . . I guess nobody's heard of it or seen it. Keep your eyes open. Considering the Black Widow '57 and the new Challenger had theire release dates pushed back (which is not at all uncommon), I wouldn't expect to see the '38 Ford unitl at least the second half of '09. www.modelroundup.com usually provides updates when they get info, but there's absolutely nothing regarding the '38- not a good sign. I hate to say it, but I get the feeling this one's on the back burner at Revell for now. $.02
Eshaver Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Well, ya got to admit the picture really does the old girl justice! I would byy one as I remember the Monogram Kit from the 1960's and I was thouroughly impressed with the fit and finish of the kit . If I remember correctly you could do the roadster as well in the same kit . Too Bad Revell can't seem to re-issue the kit as they did in 62 with new custom parts. The ribbed bumpers are an attractive touch . Ed Shaver
