I have some scale thread, tha ti plane to use for the drums on 2 recovery vehicles.... may plan was to try to airbrush the thread with modelmaster steel.... any better thoughts on the matter appreciated i figured this would be the best way to add color to the white thread sent by manufacturer bill

Looks just like cable. Cortland Musky Master is the best choice and comes in black. If you need it to be silver get the clear braided line and die it silver with some RIT dye that can be purchased at most grocery stores. RIT dye will change the color of any type of clear plastic if left long enough in the solution. Hope this helps...
mountaindewd Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Go to Walmart, in the craft section, you can find actual steel cable which scales to about a 1/2 inch. It is with the beads and bracelet stuff and comes in 15 ft pieces. Les
