Raul_Perez Posted July 27, 2009 Author Posted July 27, 2009 Niiiice!!! The chop and section job echoes the El Matador well on a totally different body shape. Hard to see the grille area which looks "different but the same". Any chances of seeing a front end view? In any case, the truck and trailer combo looks like it would be prize winner in its own right! I'm assuming it's mainly plastic since it appears to have been a relatively quick build compared to the epic masterwork the El Matador was. Yes, I'll work with Jerry next weekend to get a few more pics posted. Yes, the truck is mainly plastic...no brass frame. Jerry did a lot of fabrication work to the body and the interior, including fabricating the window frames from aluminum stock.
Teresa Cardinal Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Every time I look at this page it absolutely blows me away how talented my father was. The details are truly a work of wonder and took an incredable amount of patience to form everything so perfectly. I know where my artsy talents come from . . . I will miss my father dearly.
Curt Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Teresa, thanks for bringing this one up again. I know some of us hadn't discovered this forum in 2009 so we would have missed seeing Jerry's incredible work. I am sorry for your loss.
