Madhatter Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Hey all I recently got elected to build this kit as part of an upcoming "competition" (not very serious thankfully), so this has been a slight switch up to my usual subjects. I have to say - I thoroughly enjoyed putting this together and decided to have just as much painting it. Using Tamiya X-19, X-69 and one of the many Gunze German greys (I can't remember exactly which one ATM) The rules are pretty basic - OOB only. No Aftermarket decals or detail sets etc. No masks. Nothing - just what comes in the box. Not even allowed to lead add wires. I bent the rules slightly by stretch some sprue for the antenna - well, it came from the box after all. You can paint it in whatever scheme you like so I did. I just stuck tape down where I thought I should go and that was that. I really like how it came out in the end. I finally got to put to use some relatively newly acquired weathering skills from YouTube and they paid off IMO. What do you guys reckon? Well, that was just heaps of fun and it felt good to go outside my usual subject matter. Great kit. Not a single issue at all. There's something to be said about some of the older Tamiya kits Anyways, thanks for looking in Si 3
