I like utility vehicles and I would love to get my hands on a couple of '73-80 Suburban models to build in tribute to the two that we have owned and that served us so faithfully. I know that there is a resin '81 or newer.. but does anyone make or is anyone planning on making the older version with the square front fenders. I have been thinking of trying to build one from a Blazer or Jimmy kit but I am not that creative. Hopefully there are others out there who share my affection for these rigs.

I don't think so, I know if you get into resin there are 50s and early 60s Suburbans and panel trucks, and at least one 82 Suburban, but I think there is a hole for the '67-72 and '73 to 80 body styles.

I know I have seen a 67-72 burb on evil-bay, but I don't remember seeing any of the 73-80. Though you might want to try evil-bay anyway. They might have some on there. Otherwise, you may just have to make one from a blazer and a pickup. I know the old defunct mag SAE had an article on doing one up that way back in the late 80's early 90's. Hope this helps, Mageckman

Nobody has ever offered the 73-80 Frontend on a Burb, but R&R and Modelhaus did the later Square Fronts(I know MH is an '82, and I want to say R&R's was the same)... Out of the two, MH has the better offering, and would be your best bet for a conversion starting point..... From there, you could use the front clip from the Rides '75 Blazer to give you the earlier nose....
