chevelle69
Here are three clues for this race car back in the day: (1) This car had a dark reputation (2) It was off the chain insane. (3) This horse rode side saddle. HELP!! I'M STUCK!!! Send me anything you think of.

Modelmartin
Isn't that the car that Jack Chrisman built and was featured on the cover of Hot Rod?
MicroNitro
It sure is, I don't think it ever made a good pass down the drag strip.
Modelmartin
I thought I read somewhere that John got it up to 180+ which I am sure took some guts. Of course everyone else with a conventional driveline was running over 200 at the time. I think Art Malone built a sidewinder dragster at about the same time but he had the axle running through the engine's valley! You have to love the wierd and wild designs that people have come up with over the years.
chevelle69
the night stalker, chain drive, side wider mustang, funny car driven by john force. The cheif starter at the dragstrip made John and his brother Louie who owned the car stop running it because pieces of the chain kept hitting the cheif starter everytime they ran it. Dave!! george 53
It seems to me, that if peices of the car leave it when it does what it was intended to do,it MAY NOT be very safe! Smart Chief starter! Edited March 6, 2009 by george
