bitner
This is the latest project, a 1965 Autocar logging truck. I'm using the A64B kit from AMT as a base. I moved the fenders and front axle forward and carved new headlight mounts. The truck is modeled after one that worked for Goodell logging in Siletz, Oregon in the 60's. SpreadAxle
I love the blue one you have for comparison. This is going to be nice.
bitner
Here are a couple of pics of the truck. I still have a lot to do. The cab and hood are just sitting on the frame and not glued down. I cast all the wheels on the truck. I used an AMT trailer, but made a new reach and trailer body for it because the reach in the AMT kit is way too small. trick my mixer
Looking really good. The paint scheme gives it that old school look. When it is done will it have a load on or will the trailer be loaded as in the picture? Either way awesome bulid!!!!!!!!!!!!
SpreadAxle
I love the paint job. It's very nice.
bitner
Here's the final product. It came out pretty good. I added older style clearance lights to the cab. I hand painted the name on the door to match the photos I have. Any comments are welcome. My dad made the General mudflaps for me from a pattern he had made and then he cast them in rubber. I had to use the newer Autocar logos because I couldn't find a picture of the older Autocar Diesel emblem that should be on the A model conventional. Old Albion
Very Impressive!! I like the colour scheme it looks really well and suits the truck. It does help to give it that older appearance. I like it.
