Andy Wyatt Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I need to double up a white decal stripe...how soon before I can put the second one over the first? Thanks!
ismaelg Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Andy, Whenever I need to do that, I lay down the first one, then work on some other decals and come back to double up a few hours later or next day, since I work very slow with decals. I think you can do that as soon as the first decal is dry enough so it won't move. Make sure the first one is not bubbled of wrinkled. But if you are going to use decal solvent, I would suggest to wait overnight to ensure the base decal is really dry. Otherwise it may move or wrinkle. Then again, I'm not the most expert on decals..... Thanks,
jbwelda Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 i agree, i would let the first dry for at least overnight, and i would use decal solvent of the appropriate type on the first one to get it to lie down nice and flat. the next day i would apply the second layer and would probably try to keep the water to a minimum and then solvent the stack.
LoneWolf15 Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 My two cents , for what it's worth . I concur with the aforementioned opinions ! Donn Yost Lone Wolf Custom Pianting
