  2. Congrats Alex! I'm fortunate enough to see Alex's builds at club meetings...the future of the hobby is in good hands! Well deserved win!
  3. Reps and Mins of MD chopped '40 Ford body, Revell kits for everything else. Paint is decanted Duplicolor Lt Blue and airbrushed. Reps and Mins S.CO.T. blower and distributor, scratch built radiator tubes from a telescopic radio antenna and heat shrink tubing. Thanks for looking!
  4. Great pics Lyle as always. If anyone would like to see some crappier pics of the same stuff: http://public.fotki.com/AndyWyatt/model-club-meetings/cpmcc-meetings/
  5. Lindberg '61 Chevy Impala...parts box tires and wheels, MCW Arbor Green and Duplicolor white. Lowered the front and rear, wish the front was a tad lower though. Couple things to fix under the hood. Will shoot better pics later. First thing in about a year that I've finished...personally I'm sick of looking at it. Sorry for the crappy pics. Thanks for looking!
  6. I belong to the Central PA Model Car Club...we meet the first Saturday of every month in Mt. Wolf , just north of York. Don't know of any closer to you...here's a link to our website. You can follow the links from there to other clubs in the area. The Philly club and Silent Traffic are two others, but they aren't any closer to you. http://www.freewebs.com/cpmcc/
  7. Da-a-a-a-mn Cruz! That is SHARP! Can't wait to see this one in person!

  10. I'm lucky enough to have one of Garys Mustangs in my collection...there's a lot of work to get that final result. Great job again Gary!
  11. Very subtle, very clean, very cool...and you know I'm crazy about flatties! You knocked this one out of the park Brian!
  12. A beautiful build and a great tribute Lyle.
  13. Great pics Lyle...lot of nice stuff, sorry I missed it.
  14. I've been waiting a long time to see this one finished...all I can say is it was definitely worth the wait! That thing is SWEET!
  15. This one was done with PlastiKote sandable white primer and Tamiya Pure White, then cleared with Tamiya clear. I also like Duplicolor Bright White.
  16. Revell kit painted with MCW Bright Green Metallic. Pretty much right out of the box with some engine detailing. Need to touch up some foil and glue a mirror back on...but it's done. Thanks for looking!
  17. I need to double up a white decal stripe...how soon before I can put the second one over the first? Thanks!
  18. Great build! Where did the Keystones come from? Are they MRC?
  19. Oh yeah! Very nice Lyle, as always! Perfect color choice. I absolutely HAVE to get me some of Bob Dudek's valve covers.
  20. Nothing cooler than a chopped up hot rod with a flattie! Great job!
  21. Very nice! I'm working on one of those myself...hopefully it turns out half as nice as yours! Looks great in black, I like the blue heater hoses in the black engine compartment too!
  22. What Dan said. Instead of saying it's Foose inspired I think Chip Foose should be saying his cars are Coller inspired!
  23. You can add me to the list of lucky people here that get to see Chris' work on a regular basis. All his builds are incredible.

    '49 Merc

I know...2008 was the year for posting '49 Mercs. Don't let anyone tell you I'm on time for anything. Revell '49 Merc built pretty much right out of the box. Paint is HOK Pink Pearl over white primer. Duplicolor acrylic lacquer clear. I didn't really wasnt to use the "ribbed for her pleasure" bumpers but the other ones were not plated very well and I didn't have anything in my stash that I could use...but now that they are on I don't think they look too bad. Some engine detailing added...a quickie build to have something for the March CPMCC meeting. The left wiper has been fixed by the way. Thanks for looking!
  25. Revell '41 Chevy, built for a swap with mhadman. Duplicolor Black over HOK Sunrise Pearl. Wheels and tires from a Revell '40 Ford convertible kit. Kit supplied stovebolt 6 cylinder plumbed and wired. Bed boards painted using Lyle Willits technique that he was kind enough to share. Coated with a mixture of Future and yellow and red food coloring to make them look like they have shellac on them. The license plates didn't turn out as sharp as I've seen other peoples...not sure what I did wrong there...the whole deal was supposed to have been done almost a year ago...it started out as a '60 Chevy truck (which might emerge as a curbside someday), then a '56 Del Ray that got pitched against my dining room wall...building something for a friend is fun but very nerve wracking! Thanks for looking.
