I'm not usually a Customs guy, but that is really COOL! Didn't know Dupli made a Lime Green...will have to look for that. Great job!
-
SWEEEEET!! You certainly can't tell by the finished product that you had decal difficulties...great job!

When the new Revell '70 Mustang came out a few of us who get together and chat decided to do a swap...Here are two Mustangs...one built for me by Gary66 and one for him built by me. Gary built this stocker for me even though he told me it would be a street car! I was pleasantly surprised to see this! Here's what I sent Gary... Paint is PPG Valencia Orange, parts box wheels and tires. Mirrors and rear spoiler were left off for shipping. Thanks for looking!

Model Car like Dinner ware
Andy Wyatt replied to kk916's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don't eat salads actually. I have sharp teeth for tearing flesh and enzymes in my digestive system to digest meat...I am carnivore. If we were meant to eat salads we would have flat teeth and four stomachs like cows. Besides, if we weren't meant to eat meat animals would be smart enough to get away from us and it wouldn't taste so good. My apologies to any overly sensitive PETA-types. -

Jeez! The salad fork is NOT correct! I wish these model companies would get it right just once! -
Anyone else have this problem ?
Andy Wyatt replied to Dave Wood's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I wonder if the problem might be what the folks at BMF are starting with...could it be they are using recycled aluminum or some lesser quality material to cut costs? The last sheet I had (only a couple months old, stored flat in its original envelope) went bad...had to throw two thirds of it away. I think the "putting it in the fridge" suggestion is an urban myth at best. Hope they figure it out soon...I have four '58 Chevys in the stash! -
That's sharp! I'm not a big Camaro guy but I almost bought a kit at the last club meeting. Fearing I would only be able to sneak one kit into the house I opted for the '68 Charger...but I'm definitely getting one of these for the stash! Hope it turns out 1/2 as nice as yours!

Ford Grabber Blue in Tamiya Sprays

Tamiya French Blue is the ticket. Paging MonoPed...MonoPed to the French Blue Courtesy Phone! LOL! -
What are your favorite car songs?
Andy Wyatt replied to Darrell Gwinn's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Nick! Primus absolutely rules...I was quite surprised when I saw your original list back a few pages in the thread. Not something I'd expect from someone not-so-advanced in years like yourself! Other than Primus a few songs that are likely to get me in trouble with the guy holding the radar gun..."Race With the Devil"- Girlschool, "We Are the Road Crew"- Motorhead, "Walk"-Pantera, "Go With the Flow"- Queens of the Stoneage", "Lights Out"- UFO, "Death Amphetamine"- Exodus, and anything by Sepultura or Slayer. -
That is one sweet lookin' truck Randy! I oughta bang myself up so I can stay home and get some models done! Just kidding...hope you're doing better. Can't wait to see the truck in person. Great job on the truck bed and the color is perfect for that truck. I have a couple in the stash...hope they turn out half as nice as yours!

CPMCC Meeting & Annual Picnic
Andy Wyatt replied to Lyle Willits's topic in Model Club News and Announcements
Great pics guys! Almost makes me feel like I was there! -
Hey Cruz...welcome to the 21st century you old fart! Ned has the 80g (I inherited his old one...I think it's only a 4g). He'll be at the CPMCC picnic and I'm sure he'll have it with him. I think it's permanently attached to him now. If you haven't got it all figured out by next week I'm sure he'd be happy to help out one of his elders!

I've waited so long to see this one finished and he posts pics the week I'm away on vacation! That turned out pretty decent...makes me want to dig one out of the stash and build it. Guess there's a certain Chevy truck and a Mustang to finish first...

If you could only choose ONE photo of any of your builds, wich would it be?
Andy Wyatt replied to JAFFA's topic in Model Cars
Not my favorite build but the diffused lighting of the overcast day really helps this photo a lot. -
Sweet! Not a big sports car kind of guy but that looks really nice. Might have to dig out my Lambo Miura I started and get it finished.
-
Very nice as always Lyle...unfortunately I won't be at the meeting (again)...at least it's not because of work this time, going on vacation. Hope to see you at the picnic in August.
-
Welcome! Normally I'm not a big fan of the big wheel/low profile tire deal but they look really nice on that '50 and the color is perfect! Nice stuff! Yeah right Bill! What's left to try? A gas tank that holds real gas and a working gas gauge! LOL!!!

I've only built one PL funny car and I thought the kit was pretty nice. There were some pieces on the chrome tree that got stripped in CSC and the plastic became very brittle and the instruction sheet was a little vague but there were no fit issues to speak of and I thought the detail was pretty good as well. You certainly did a great job with yours!
-
Very nice! Love the color on it. Here's one I did several years ago.

Very sharp build! I have a couple of those in my stash...hope they turn out half as nice as yours!
