noname Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 What 4 speed transmission would have typically been used with 50's and early 60's GM egines for drag racing? When did they make the t-10? What were the 3 speeds called? And what transmission did they mate with the early hemis? Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks
moparmagiclives Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 The borg warner 4 speed (t10) came out in the late 50's, like 57 or 59, the muncie 4 speed (m21-m22) didnt came till like 63-64. they both made 3 speeds as well as saginaw. Chrysler used the New Process A903 (3 speed) and the A833 (4 speed) in the early 60's then went on to other New Process models. I'm sure theses went with most of there engine packages. Hope this helps.
