Maindrian Pace Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 A few days ago, I got a package in from Tokyo, a 1:43 scale diecast '60 Falcon made in Japan by Taiseiyako, also known as Taiseiya, in the Cherryca Phenix line. These came in green and blue, are very rare, and I've wanted one since the '80s when I saw one listed in an antique toy value guide. Diecast was still fairly new to Japan in the early '60s, so these are sort of primitive in some areas, but they are loaded with charm. Pictured next to a Trax Australian Falcon in the same scale, you can see how far diecast manufacturing has come in the last 50+ years. 1
redscampi Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 Way cool! I never knew either of these existed.
