Charlie Magers
I built a similar model a couple of years ago to replicate a car owned by a friend of mine. He’s wanted one ever since. We'd go to car shows and he'd always check out the die cast vendors but they never had the correct color combination. I started to build this car months before his 60th birthday but couldn’t find the time to get it completed in time for the party. A few months later I finally presented to him. I hate giving models away but I’m sure he’ll appreciate it. The paint is Tahitian Turquoise from Model Car World, photo etch is from Model Car Garage, the wheels are from Competition Resins and painted with Alclad, the tires are from Replicas and Miniatures’ of Maryland. When I built the first car (on right) his car had rally wheels and white letter tires. During the time I was building he changed the wheels and tires to Draglites and redline tires. The car on the left was built as his car is now.

DR Dubois
Nice model and I'm sure he cherishes it a lot. Now I got the bug to go finish the one I started last year, but haven't touched in a long while!!
fordh8r
Very nice builds indeed. I think it looks better with the redline tires.
