  • 1 month later...

I haven't posted anything on the Shelby in awhile, I actually haven't even touched the car in almost a month. I've been really busy and haven't been able to sit at the bench in a minute. But these past few days I've been able to work on it; here's what I've done so far. 20240326_094736.thumb.jpg.4643a5997b6c7b792be97ffe832bf2e9.jpgAfter wet sanding, filling, sanding, and priming a repeated amount of times, I finally got the car bodywork to perfection. 20240326_094754.thumb.jpg.b61439b1559ec122b2e5cfb6255946f2.jpgFor an old AMT kit the front bumper and bottom piece fit together really well. 20240326_095059.thumb.jpg.8b59d9d2b1880753b2739408e6c82995.jpgI painted the 428 engine with MCW Ford Engine Blue, the trans is gonna be a silver color.20240326_172435.thumb.jpg.fa4ccfa45557ddfe934ccf694a5cda2d.jpgFinally I painted the undercarriage with Tamiya LP Dull Red to replicated the paprika red color that the 50s-60s fords had sprayed on the undercarriage, its a little too dark to be correct but it works so. 😁 Hopefully tomorrow or Thursday I can get the body in color. Thanks for looking!
