ranma Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 On either the Transtar 4070A or Transtar II It can be a hard job painting the Alternator without getting paint on other spot's. My trick is to carefully remove the Alternator, and paint it seperate then reattach it . Using a #11 hobby blade knife carefully cut the Alternator at it's attaching points (the area where the alternator is "bolted" to the bracket, Both front and back at the bracket, and then where it attaches at the bottom. with the Alternator now off the bracket ect can be paint either IH Red or any color the engine maybe painted. after the Alternator and the other part has dried reattach the Alternator then ad the belt/pulley.
