hotrodblder Posted February 11 Share Posted February 11 This's a probably an out of this world question, but is there anyone who makes a conversion kit to turn the AMT '70 Monte Carlo into a '72? My second car was my Mom's '72 Phantom Green Monte and I'd like to replicate it as close as I can without just painting the '70 that color and calling it done. RomanII Posted February 16 Share Posted February 16 1972 Monte Carlo promos were made by AMT in several different colors. They're not dirt cheap, but starting with the right car and not modifying a different one would be much easier. All of the original AMT 1970 thru 1972 kits and promos featured molded in fender skirts, so that is a change you will probably need to make. Good luck!
