here is my entry for the old dominion show in richmond virginia last month. it is the italeri 378 with 120" condo and a scratchbuilt covered wagon. hope you all like it. post-4195-1237776765_thumb.jpg

yea i think you have seen this one up close and personal.

for all you guys who don't know...kurt took first at this show and i was runner up. i must say his win was well deserved and it was a pleasure to compete and hang out with him. looking forward to doing it again.

the truck and trailer are 38" overall and thats with the fifth wheel slide all the way back. the display board is 42"x6".

the wheels are cast by jamie at mo'luminum. his products are always top notch, and priced well. i had to do very little prep and then sprayed them with alclad polished aluminum with alcoa decals. the decals came from a good friend of mine.

Thats cool! I know of Jamie quite well. I send all my wheel masters to him to be cast. I thought yours looked familliar. Those are actually resin copies of actual miniature Machined aluminum Alcoa wheels that Bill Drennen had made years ago. VERY hard to find now! I was wondering if you had the real aluminum ones on there.

I have those tiny Alcoa decals too, neat stuff!!!!!

It would be great to see more pictures of your work! Looks like your oneheck of a builder!!!!!!!!!

This is a great looking rig. The paint work is superb. I especially like the camber in the trailer frame to resist the bending just like the real things. I to would like to see some more photo's if possible. I can imagine the judges had a nightmare trying to decide between this rig and Kurt's?? Probably came down to the toss of a coin.
