Saturnine Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Is there a brand of paint with small enough flakes that the metallic looks to scale? I don't want every car I paint metallic to look like a low rider with giant metal flakes. Thanks for any help.
LoneWolf15 Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Testors Model Master and Testors Color by Boyd. These are bottled enamels and have the perfect size of scale flake in every bottle. As for those who want to start the age old hassle after reading this , don't . If you can't use them properly , that is on you . Saturnine, if you want to learn how to use these paints , check out my website . Visibility lends to credibility. Opinions are like backsides , everybody has one . The diffrence lies in being able to back it up ! Donn Yost Lone Wolf Custom Painting
evilone Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Krylon silver base with their line ups of metallics also HOk paints have to scale flakes.Hope this helps bro .
nitrojunkie Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 The HOK FBC's,,House of Kolor Fine Base Coats contain a very fine metallic that will look good on a model.Their Glamour Bases will look more like metal flake on a model.I like the Glamour bases under Kandys as most Kandied jobs were shot over flake.
