This car was a Ford Fusion entered in the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway in September 2015, teamed with Rausch Fenway Racing and driven by Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

This paint scheme is the same one used by David Pearson when he entered the Holman Moody Racing car in 1968 and 1969 and won the Grand National Series in successive years.

Base kit is the "BRAD KESELOWSKI #2 BLUE DEUCE FORD FUSION" from Revell's SnapTite Max series of snap kits for the younger generation, which was previously built by the Wood Brothers Ford Fusion and Kyle Larson's Chevy SS. Similar modifications were made.

Decals were ordered from "Mike's Decals" as usual and a #17 Retro 2015 Darlington Ricky Stenhouse Jr Fusion from MPR was purchased.

The body was sprayed with Tamiya Super Surfacer (grey) and sprayed with TS-19 Metallic Blue and TS-21 Gold before the decals were applied.

The last photo shows the car side-by-side with the Ford Torino Cobra previously published.

Thanks for Reply ,  Bruce, slusher, sflam123.

Recently, after the decals on the body have dried, GSI Creos "PREMIUM TOPCOAT" (Water-Based Clear Finising Spray) has been sprayed on.
Because it is water-based, the decals are not damaged and can be finished to a hoddy with a hard feel.
