GMP440 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Those that are using Plasticote or Duplicolor laquer paints, what thinner are you using for airbrushing the paints? Thanks.

When "Decanting" and used right away, I havent found any need to "Thin". I use either Acetone or Lacquer thinner for clean-up., and would use any good brand of lacquer thinner for thinning if there were ever a need. I get mine at a local "MEGA" grocery box chain.
Guest Davkin Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 (edited) I just use Klean-Strip brand laquer thinner, you can find it at Walmart or the hardware stores. I also use it with Tamiya TS sprays and Testors MML after decanting. I have better luck thinning those paints a little for airbrushing. David Edited April 6, 2009 by Davkin

David Have to agree with both......I rarely need to thin if used the same day as decanted, But reg, med speed, primer grade lacquer thinner works great.
