TNT Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 Started this a few months ago. It has a story. First part of February i was in the hospital, my father in law passed he was 82. I have been in the family since 86 when i met my wife, we married in 92. Worked in family plumbing business 26 years until we had issues. Don't get me wrong he was a great guy. Just not a business man. I grew up poor n from the wrong side of the tracks. The wifes family wasn't rich but they did not want for anything either. DW DW( dear wife) would talk about how her brother would sneak the old mans bronco out and go 4 wheelin in a local park. When they got stuck they would go get the back hoe n pull it out. She says he got away with everything. Heck she drove around in a 72/73 triumph spitfire. The old mans bronco was a metallic brown and white accents to side trim no fender flairs. It sat for years even had pot pkants growing in the interior. But the old man had all new body parts for it i mean everything door jambs and all. Poor thing will probably never move again. Brother in law has it at his place. So i am building this one for him. Wish i could have found the 1st kit. I painted this one with emberglo as it is close. Stripped off the chrome and painted grill, rims, n bumpers valejo ivory. Trying to decide on wiring the engine or not. Not really liking the black but it is done n not changing it. 2
dino246gt Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 Not really liking the black but it is done n not changing it. It looks good, only the glove box door outline is a bit too heavy, that can be reduced easily, it's acrylic? Everything else looks excellent!

But i am going to have break up all that white with brown. 1
