In the pic below, the light bar looks equal to the width of the roof. I'd go with that. To get the depth, just take the ratio of the width vs the length in the pic and use that to calculate the depth you'll need. I measure the width on my screen as 89mm, and the depth as 19mm. I divided the width by the depth and got .21 as a length to depth ratio. I measured 57.4 as the width of the roof on my Little Red Truck model. I multiplied that by .21 and got ~12mm. I'd go 57.5mm for the width, and 12mm for the length (side). Also, if you've got FB this might interest you. Theres a guy in there with a scale model of one with working lights he made. https://www.facebook.com/groups/186202599951122/?checkpoint_src=any Edited September 12, 2024 by MeatMan
Edsel-Dan Posted September 22, 2024 Author Posted September 22, 2024 (edited) I have several copies of the MPC/AMT Twinsonic 'Style lightbar, both old tooling and new (CHP issue 78Monaco AND 2 of the parts pack sets). What I mean is the OLD Light setup seen on Squad 10 in the Pilot, or as seen on Battalion 14's car for Most of the series, as well as on Foam 127 & Deluge 105 in ALL episodes they appeared in. The "Platter" was Triangular in shape with 2 forward facing lights, 1 facing rear, and a 2 sided light facing sideways I will try to find a pic soon. found pics. the wagon is the ORIGINAL Paramedic squad. 59 stationed AT Harborview General that was use as Rampart Emergency in the series. the station was on the grounds of the hospital at the time!! This is the roof light setup I need/want measurements for!! Edited September 22, 2024 by Edsel-Dan pics added 1
