Help/suggestions needed...

Hi Everyone, 

I recently picked up a Fujimi Ferrari 458 Italia kit that included a Hobby Design detail-up set. My question is, how do I bend and shape the P/E grilles that are supposed to be mounted inboard of the rear tail lights? They seem to have quite complex compound curves to them.

Any help, or photos of the process would be greatly appreciated.

Micromark has a photo etch bending tool.

A standard PE bending tool won't be much use for "compound curves", as they're made for right-angle straight bends.

If compound curves really are required, you may have to fabricate matched dies, and use them in an arbor press.

Entirely doable, but rather esoteric and fiddly precision work.
