RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA Posted October 15, 2024 Posted October 15, 2024 My recently restored MPC 1/25 scale 1972 Dodge Tradesman custom van. The upper body is Tamiya Italian Red TS-8 and lower body is Tamiya Mica Blue Metallic TS-64. Interior parts painted with Rustoleum, Tremclad, Krylon, Color Splash, Premier, & Martha Stewart spray paint. I always reserve the expensive and high quality paint for the exterior and the cheaper paint for interior parts, engine, & chassis. This van is painted to make you think of sunset at the sea. The front bumper on this van is resin because the original piece was missing. 10
XYHARRY Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 Very cool 70s style van there Racine, it looks like you have plenty more van projects lined up in the future. Well done. Cheers, David. ??
RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA Posted October 17, 2024 Author Posted October 17, 2024 @XYHARRYThanks for the compliment! The group shot of the old vans on the table was taken five years ago. Since then I've restored a bunch of these already. This red/blue '72 was originally that Truckin' USA van on the table that has the missing front bumper and the roof glass. I'll be posting more completed shots of custom vans in future weeks. @ChrisRThanks!
Leica007 Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 If you need the roof glass for your Truckin USA model, let me know. I've got one that I won't use.
RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA Posted October 20, 2024 Author Posted October 20, 2024 @Leica007Thank you for that, but I'm okay for now. I bought two of the newer reissued '82 Dodge van kits and each of them come with two roof glass. One transparent and one tinted.
ncbuckeye67 Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Very cool! Beautiful paint work, and I'm loving all the extra details.
