  1. The percentage isn't the same as rubbing alcohol, I've never had a problem with using ww fluid when black washing grilles, wheels, or even dirtying my engines painted with acrylic.
  2. I would stay away from using alcohol on the chrome, it does strip the chrome off. I use acrylics and use windshield washer fluid (winter formula) for thinning all my acrylics, especially for airbrushing.
  3. Would the trim from the 55 kit work for you? I have a complete set on trees that look like the photo of the 56.
  4. I've got these also (in addition to the caps).
  5. If you still need them, I've got a set still on the trees, pm with your address and I'll send them to you.
  6. Thanks for the info, found the parts needed. I may checkout the site to do a better build.
  7. Just giving my 2 cents, I've used both with good results using Elmers white glue. I agree embossing is a little easier (especially if you want to paint to match the interior color), but keep in mind the type of look you want. Older vehicles and custom (especially vans) had longer carpet fibers than newer rides. Think house carpet or shag. IMHO.
  8. My vote is for the coupe, my father had one when he was a young guy in the Navy and I saw one at a gas station in El Paso back in the 70's. Most people have never even heard of the Terraplane. Gotta follow you on the journey.
  9. Looking for a late model, light weight boom setup to use on 78 Dodge long bed p/u kit. Saw on ebay that several gmc/chev pickup kits have what I'm looking for so I hope someone on the forum has the boom parts but didn't use them in their build. Let me know what you would want it trade, have many parts to offer. Thanks for looking and hope for some help.
  10. Alex, Mailing the decals Saturday. You're welcome. PM sent.
  11. Found a set on the revell-monogram 32 Ford Coupe sheet (1996). You're welcome to them, pm your address and I'll send them out. Lei (USA Veteran-Ret)
  12. I use a pearl white (Testor Aztec) and imo it looks more natural than flat white. I have used both and the pearl is more translucent than flat white.
  13. Can you post a pic of the wheel, I don't have that kit, but do have a lot of stock chevy wheels. May have the wheel you want.
  14. Thanks for sharing, I continue to be amazed at the low rider paint work, I'm still trying to get good two color results.
