jdcar32 Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 So I was given a 1986 vintage Tamiya Honda F1 kit 1/12 scale. I'm a life long modeller and the 12 page instruction manual is comprehensive, BUT, it's printed in Japanese. I'd like to follow the painting instructions and any special notes, so I'm wondering if anyone has advice on interpreting or finding interpreted instructions. Thanks !
Matt Bacon Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 If you have a smartphone, get Google Translate, download the Japanese language pack, and you can point your camera at the instructions and watch them transform into English in front of your eyes. It’ll struggle with the big blocks of text, but for colour call-outs or “make sure you do this in this order” notes on the drawings, it’s invaluable. Or grab these later multilingual instructions from Scalemates: https://www.scalemates.com/products/img/7/4/6/122746-28-instructions.pdf best, M.
