Altered Ego Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 I couldn't resist encroaching on MW Elky's awesome Building The Covers series on this one. I had the advantage of this magazine and wanted to include it for anyone wanting to build this version. I deviated a little in the two tone paint scheme and Automotive Research lettering. I also included the Cragar rear wheels on wrinkle wall slicks. The stance was achieved with the spring shackles from the Old Pro Nova kit. I had also put a deep sump oil pan and remote double oil filter on this one. 8
M W Elky Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 That’s a great reference. I really like your twist on the landy paint scheme. It looks like these kits build up nice I’ll have to get some before there sold out
Altered Ego Posted November 25, 2024 Author Posted November 25, 2024 I think the Dodge builds easier than the Plymouth. I am considering building two more of them. I think I have my sedan picked out.
Old Buckaroo Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 That is a awesome build and what a great reference that magazine was. I followed your lead and found a lot of those magazines on ebay - I'm a book / magazine user more than the internet. Thanks for showing this fine build and sharing the reference material. Ive got a resin altered wheelbase kit with a Ross Gibson Hemi waiting to see time on the bench.
