This build is costing me a fortune, but we march on. I am not happy with the wheels I have purchased so far to meet the full custom vision and I need a break from heavy haulers that I keep migrating to. So today I purchased another set of wheels. The one piece I am still missing is the 379 hood, searching 😜🤪. Long and low

This is becoming the inspiration for this build. I have been following this truck build for some time. Still considering a sleeper or not.

That looks pretty special, Gary - hope you find the hood you need!  Any chance of extending/modifying your existing hood?

I have thought about it for sure. I did find a 379 hood and cab at Global Truck Models in 1:25 scale. I may reach out to him to see if I can just get a hood and experiment with that.

Hey Gary

You know that Casey at model truck forum (the guy you got the fenders from) has a 359 long hood for the ROG Peterbilt and the snap Peterbilt, they might fit your cab. And if you are looking for a 379exhd, you can get that from Paul at ST Supply, I  know I have one.

Oh darn it, I forgot about Model Truck Forum, yes he does. The challenge for me will be removing the fenders as I have custom front fenders but doable, maybe. I just looked at ST Supply and the only hood I see is 1:24 scale.

Hey Gary

Any progress on this build? I'm going to be doing a AMT "Cross Country" Peterbilt soon. I'm going to be using a KFS Cat 1693 in it, and probably one of Casey's long hoods.

Sorry Ron, not sure how I missed this. I did pickup the cross country as well, it has a much better frame without the molded on suspension and will use that kit instead.
