This was built after the real car was wrecked in 2006 Telstra Australia round of the WRC in Western Australia, I was the co-driver at the time when the driver on a transport stage from one comp section to another fell asleep at low speed (70kp/h) and we went off the road rolling the car (we had travelled some 2,500 kilometers to get there by road) the crash destroyed the car beyond quick repair and has only just been repair after a 3 year struggle and battle with cost and panels.

Thanks guys for U'r comments. I should point out that the 2,500 kilometer journey was to get to the event from our home town not from one comp point to the other, we had to drive for 48 hours almost non-stop to make the start after mis-timing our journeys distance. I can tell you never again if we ever get back to rallying it will be a case of sending the car ahead on the transpoter and driver, co-driver will fly and this will happen in 2010 when the WRC comes back to Oz in the state of Queensland in Sept/Oct of that year.

I remember that, the Xsara was the hotrod of WRC for sure, now it dominates in rallycrosses. I love this build.

I love WRC and wish Speed Channel would bring it back! Nice model and nice diorama! Great way for displaying such a great model!

Yeah, no ######, me to, but most likely will never happen. Speed went downhill ever since it lost it's vision. :D:blink::D It seems like nowadays thought with how WRC is and the money involved IRC over here Rally America is the ways to go! You want to see great rallies with great competition, there you go. ;)
