Jack L Posted February 1 Posted February 1 the wheels were part # 3931547 magnesium 15x8 & 3940095 15x9 . Having no luck on the net. found the part # in a 1968 Z28 factory broch.
Exotics_Builder Posted February 2 Posted February 2 They were not magnesium; those were special order for racing applications. The stock 1968 Camaro came with steel DF Rally Wheels 15"x6" painted argent silver with chromed trim ring and center cap. I don't have a part number on them anymore and some online part numbers are for the 15x7 in version. The DF wheel was oriented to the Z28 to allow offset for the front calipers.
Jack L Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 special service parts in the 1968 Z28 tune up brochure lists them as 3931547 wheel assy magnesium 15x8 & 3940095 15X9
bobss396 Posted February 2 Posted February 2 Rally for sure with beauty rings and the little center cap. I was camping with my family in 1968 and someone at another site had the first Z28 I ever saw. It was blue with white stripes and the "302" badge on the front fenders. 1
