Salvage day! I have no new monogram brake drums in my stash, so I’ll have to attempt to salvage these (wish we had an Ollie’s I’d stock up on these) brake drums from a gluey mess.

That is some extreme channeling! I’m diggin it except for the dragging on the ground rad shell.

Yes it is. And the frame looks like it was zeed in the front too. Notice how high the engine had to be mounted so the pan wouldn't scrape the pavement. It looks a bit awkward but kinda cool at the same time. The radiator was cut down a lot. I wonder if there might have been overheating issues. It looks like a death trap, Bil, but "the brakes are good, the tires fair" comes to mind.🙂

Some interior work has been complete, the dash is not present as it will be the same colour as the exterior!  I chose not to use the window cranks and door handles as I feel they would be better suited to a roadster where they would actually be seen.

I’m still cute, better looking than the fella in that pic! 😜

He only looks like that because they cancelled his show.

But yet he is still showing up on Roadworthy Rescues either in person or background images.

Ok ok, back on topic!

Today we will attempt to fill in some blanks on the frame, a fuel source, a steering box assembly and engine mounts then once we get the engine sorted we can mess with a rudimentary exhaust. You will notice in the pic that I have some basic engine mounts already there but those were temporary to place the engine for fitment to check for clearance issues with the firewall!

I'm glad we're back on the build, Bil, 'cuz I don't have a clue where that was headed 😣

I think I like the look of the old driveline hardware with the rear wishbone intact, although I'm not sure why.

Sunday Funday!
well we had a bit of a weather front yesterday so I spent a fair bit of time doing snow removal. But today we march along to the beat of a different drummer to get some more pre-paint work completed. Steering yup we got that, engine mounts and trans cradle yup we got those too. Fuel, well we are still tinkering there, I tried the stock tank and was not super elated there. So we will dig around in the parts bins, and we have a possible winner.
In other news the interior is done except for the dash, we ran into some fitment issues with the 40 dash and discovered that it interferes with the door handles. 🙄

Easy fix for the door handles, Bil. Don't make me say it.  Snow is nice, especially this time of year. We've got a nice little Nor'easter headed our way. Should be here on Wednesday. Can't wait. You may getting some of it too! They're talking cat 2 wind. Woo hooo.  🥶  today, it's 67*f.

Been there done that but my eyes can't manage that in 1/25th anymore.

Try it in 1/32! 🤣

Edit: after reviewing the interior photos, it appears re-orienting the handles would prove to be a fool's errand. Besides, if you lose a clip you're screwed.

I trimmed the dash, after all it had to be trimmed/narrowed to fit to begin with.

Ok Len I’ll take the bullet for that. In other news frame and suspension with fuel tank are almost complete, film at eleven.
