I'm thinking about the head lights! I'm not so convinced anymore If it really looks good! I do have rectangular doubles in the box.

What do you guys think?

From a design perspective, that truck has a lot of square lines to it. Just my 2 cents, I think square headlights would look good.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate it!

Till the new hood arrives there's not much to do.

Put the side steps on the tanks and sleeper, rear plates, chains, a bit of fine tuning here and there!

Still missing: fuel filler caps, bumper has to be glued on, ...

That sure looks like a heavy duty tractor, JM.  Great job ! And, you make your own decals. Way ahead of me buddy. Can’t wait to see the new hood !

Thanks Jeff!

Concerning the decals, I created them on the computer, mostly Powerpoint or something and then I print them on decal paper, either white or transparent.

On white you get deeper colors but you have to cut them out very precisely. In this case I used a transparent sheet. The colors didn't come out as deep as I hoped but it was easy to cut them out!

The hood tilts pretty well!

And here's a birds eye view!

Hi everyone!

Been a while since I last posted to this thread!

I'm waiting for the resin hood Bren printed for me. It's on its way across the ocean!

Meanwhile I thought about a possible trailer and decided to make a lowboy!

Something like this:

This is the first shot of a virtual mock-up:

Still a lot missing but I guess it'll be OK!

Thanks Steve!

I thought a lot about it till I finally decided what to pair it with.

I want to put two other Mack trucks on the lowboy, sort of a Mack family thing!

This is the "making of" of the trailer chassis:

Tires are also printed cause I didn't have any small ones in the box!

Assembled chassis with axles and brake drums! The white "stoppers" we're box parts.

Assembled wheels:

Chassis almost complete!

I chose smaller wheels because as far as I know lowboys mostly do have smaller ones.

Here you can see the difference in size compared to the truck wheels:

Jürgen, it is very interesting to watch the endless ideas you have come to life - the trailer will look great with a couple of Mack's on it!
