WillyBilly Posted February 27 Posted February 27 This has been sitting in a box for about two years painted. It was to celebrate 50 years of Quigley Motors. My recent builds got me thinking that I need to finish some of my started projects. 1974 Chevy 4x4 van built by Quigley Motor Company of Pennsylvania. Chevy was the very first van Quigley claims to have converted back in 1974. There seems to be no pictures of it, or specs about it, so I decided it would be a mild custom van. It would have been pulled from the end of the assembly line, sent to Quigley and on to the dealer for delivery. This is how I imagine it. It consists of a NP203 transfer case bolted to a TH400 sending power to Dana front and rear. So for this build I used a Foxy Box Chevy van which is 1/25 mated to the frame, differentials, tires and wheels from a 1/24 scale GMC Plow truck. The track width, and wheelbase seems close enough with no modifications to the frame. I got to getting it done. I still have to add lights, wipers, and finish paint detail 6
DJMar Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Sweet! That's a great kitbash idea. It makes me wish we could get the old Monogram Desert Rat 4x4 van kit reissued- if those molds still exist.

You must be thinking about Quicksand Chevy van with Honda Odessey, and motorcycle. I have that kit. 3
WillyBilly Posted February 27 Author Posted February 27 Mostly finished. Forgot to install mirrors. Oh well 4 1
espo Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Both are great looking rigs. Like the gold paint and trim. Good looking wheel & tire combo.

It's typical 1970's Monogram stuff, which means I love it. I've had this one in the stash forever, maybe I need to finally build it. The decals are toast, though. 2

I wanted that and could never find one. Recently I had looked for that kit, but too pricey for me. I was thinking about this kit when you said Desert Rat 1
