Had this kit gifted to me years ago with no desire to build it, so it sat. Not a fan of modern funny cars. But going through my decals box I spotted the Norm decals and instantly knew what to do with them. This was the Moon Eyes, Jim Dunn car and was a really nice kit!! It is one of a few box stock kits I have made and quite enjoyed it!

I was born in Chicago..When I was 10 years old, my big brother who was a hot rodder at the time in the late 70s took me up to Mr. Norms Grand-Spaulding Dodge on 3300 W Grand Ave..Mr Norm would show his race cars on the showroom and tons of people would come by to see them..He had a performance shop at the dealership that all the hot rodders would come to..Mr Norm would be proud of your tribute to his race cars..I love that color. Job well done in tribute to this icon in drag racing.

Thank you for the kind words. I have been a Mr. Norm fan since the mid 60's! One of the true pioneers of funny cars. First saw his cars race at Lions in 67. Always a thrill to watch em run.
