RoninUtah Posted Saturday at 02:15 AM Author Posted Saturday at 02:15 AM I think she's done- added lights and did some light weathering. Here are a few shots, I'll add more to the Under Glass thread for the Pete tractor. Thanks for following, everyone, this was a fun build- definitely a stretch! 2
BK9300 Posted Saturday at 07:16 AM Posted Saturday at 07:16 AM Looks impressive, Ron - theres a whole lot of tires in that setup. 1
Biggu Posted Saturday at 02:27 PM Posted Saturday at 02:27 PM That turned out really well, Ron , I love the look and the concept. Did you print the transformer load? That is pretty sharp too. Top job bud. Absolutely nailed the look. !! I love it 1 1
Jürgen M. Posted Saturday at 04:50 PM Posted Saturday at 04:50 PM Hey Ron, that is one hot rig! 👍 Beautiful to look at! Very impressive! 1

I knew this trailer would be more appropriate for this rig than anything by AMT!🤣😆 Yeah, the transformer is 3D printed too. 3D opens up so many possibilities that just aren't there in the world of the Big Plastic model manufacturers! 2

Hey, Jürgen, just out of curiosity, what did you use for trailers for your road train? I'm planning on building an Aussie Kenworth K200 one of these days, but I'm not sure whether I want to build the tractor only or the whole road train. I don't have a lot of reference material on Aussie trailers.
ShakyCraftsman Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Hey Ron 1/25-24 trailers for Australia are very hard to find. All that is available right now are American trailers and European trailers. Auslowe may have some, but you'll have to get in touch with them because I believe they are one offs. You could scratch up some, lots of work though. I looked into doing a 4 trailer ore dumpper for my Aussy Superliner, but I couldn’t find anything. The closes I could get to one was the Italeri dummper, but it is not a side dump. Ron G 1

Hope that helps you a bit! 😊

Jürgen M. Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Yes it is! I even chose the "short" version. I used the tri-axle trailer chassis with a fifth wheel instead of using tandem dollies! That would have made it even longer!
RoninUtah Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago It needs 3 53’ trailers with 3-axle dollies! Maybe I’ll but build the tractor…
Jürgen M. Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Do you have one with right hand drive? There aren't many of them. Otherwise you'll have to scratch a right hand dash!
