Ok, Not sure where else to ask this.

But I have a few of these kits Im wanting to get some kind of plan in place for

I have decals for the Jack Werst Mr 5+50 car, SS/BA which would be hemi Auto, So was it column shift or some kind of aftermkt floor shifter ?

As well as for the Stahl - Stiles Performance car which was SS/B so would be hemi 4spd

But finding reference pics and / or information seems to be a bit tough

I believe both cars were in Fact RO23 cars , so Both cars started out white, Were both cars black interior as were all RO23 cars ?

Did either / or both cars have the back seat ?

Best I can tell Both cars were a 1967 Belvedere, So that requires changing / modifying the rear trunk panel , If I so dare attempt to go down that rabbit hole. Plus Both cars were bench seat  And is NOT simply adding material between the bucket seats

Thinking maybe use the back seat from the Lindberg 64s , Or maybe the bench seat from the AMT 1968 Roadrunner

What interior does the recent 1965 Belvedere have in it ?

Anyone has any info or pics they care to share , post away please

ps, and on a side note. It would appear the Grotheer car was in fact NOT an RO car

Might be able to help on a few things.

The rules required them to have a back seat. For a front bench seat, I think Hart's Parts has one. The kit interior is GTX trim. The Sox and Martin car was actually a Belvedere, but Plymouth had them put the higher end GTX trim on the outside.

Thanks, I have a Harts Parts bench seat on order. Issue it for me its not technically correct . Its just a slightly modified rear seat. And I'll use if if I must. But am looking for a better option closer to a factory pattern ,,,IF I can find one

Info Im finding so far is S+M had a 1967 GTX, 440 4spd,

And a 1967 Belvedere , hemi 4spd ( original RO23 car I assume ) which would have a very different seat upholstery pattern. This car had GTX lettering , but still had the upper body line moulding

The 1967 "GTX" 440 you mentioned was actually a Belvedere with GTX badging. It had a bench seat. Some of the restorations and clones are not the most accurate.

I would make the back seat resemble the bench seat you are getting. Don't remember which one, but the bench is copied from one of the Lindberg Super stock 64 Dodges. If you could get a back seat out of one of those, I would think that would be close enough.

RE: The automatic-equipped models : Column-shift with reverse-pattern manual valvebody ; quadrant reflected this (also, no PARK --- not that that's something one would see in 1/25 scale anyhow)

The Mr. 5 & 50 car - the auto - should have welding "scars" on its trans tunnel / floorboards , as Neutral-Drop starts were recommended by NHRA, et al., until the '68 model year - and the intro of the B&M "J" Converter. The 5&50 had a couple of torque converters grenade from the neutral-drop starts, which necessitated welding-up the tunnel and floorboards.
