Nick Winter Posted May 3, 2009 Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) I started a new build it's a dually using AMT's infamous 84 GMC, anyway to keep it short and sweet here goes Scraped the small block 350 for a big block 454, Scratch build a suspension for it, converted it to 2wd, Used some parts from the ol' junkyard and some from the kit aswell as some tubing and made me exuast. Enjoy. Nick Edited May 4, 2009 by Dukefan69'
Nick Winter Posted May 3, 2009 Author Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) Forgot to mention I build alot of trailers so that's why I needed a dually. For the bed I'll be grafting stepside fenders onto the fleet side box. Edited May 4, 2009 by Dukefan69'

Foxer Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 They meant your original posted photos disappeared. Maybe you moved them on Photobucket?

Scott H. Posted May 4, 2009 Posted May 4, 2009 Nick, I hope you don't mind but I went to your photobucket album to see the model and figured I would give posting your pics a try so everyone can see it. Sorry if they're not the ones you wanted to post or if they're out of order. I'm posting them as they are ordered in the album. Let's see if these work... Looks like it's a good start! I'll be checking back in to see the progress. -Scott H.
Nick Winter Posted May 4, 2009 Author Posted May 4, 2009 They meant your original posted photos disappeared. Maybe you moved them on Photobucket? Ok I moved them and forgot. Pics are gone. Hard to comment on something you can't see. Are you making it a long bed? I would need a second bed to do a long bed.

Nick Winter Posted May 4, 2009 Author Posted May 4, 2009 so here is my question ? if its a dually AND a 2WD does that mean only the front wheels are powered ? just poking at ya man i like this idea but i would like to see one of those trailers you speak of, what are they for ? this is my trailer and the rig im building to haul it anyway didnt meant to hijack your post here is my question, will the truck match a specific trailer or not ? It's sort of a universal trailer hauler. I'll get some pictures of some of my trailers.
Nick Winter Posted May 5, 2009 Author Posted May 5, 2009 Ok here's my trailers All scratchbuilt #1 utility trailer with real wood floor. #2 Single axle House trailer. #3 boat and boat trailer. Nick
Nick Winter Posted May 5, 2009 Author Posted May 5, 2009 In the next couple months i have 3 or 4 more trailers planed.
Nick Winter Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 I'm having problems with getting the paint off but after I do I'll start the sergary.
Nick Winter Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 Ok guys my computer was givin' me problems lately so No pictures were posted but now it's working fine so time to give some more details and pic's, Ok well I've stripped it and grafted and shortened two stepside fenders on to the fleetside bed, alot of bondo and paint and sanding and priming, and wala instant dually bed, well after some Cb parts were added to it from Torinobradley (thanks again Andrew). I was over at my local LHS and seen a set of display case trailers so I bought two of them and built one for this truck. I built it using just the base and left out the clear part. I have had a AMT 74' GTX on my shelf for a while and it looks great on top the trailer. I tore the body off the chassis to build a receiver hitch.
