I'm doing a stock Crown Victoria that has a medium blue velour seats and door panel areas. Been thinking actual, very thin velour... if it exists or maybe some ribbon. Also some kind of texture paint.

Has anyone done this or have any ideas?

What I do to simulate velour is paint the part with metallic paint then dullcoat it.

That sounds very interesting. Gonna have to try it. :)

I have used velvateen which is like velour only thinner. Best way to attach this is to back it with masking tape, and use a white glue to put it in with. I prefer Aileen's Tacky Glue for this, as it is thicker than Elmer's. Also with the tape in place you wont get the fuzzy edges. This also works for corduroy.

Hey Mike <_<

Don't know how much work you want to put in those seat's, but I like to cut them up with a #11 Exacto blade, and then cover with real cloth of your choice.

There are several fabric store's in my area, and I like going there when I have a new project and "Lurk" ;) , looking at all the new stuff and little "odd's and end's". I alway's find some new little cool thing to use for a future project, or stash away like a squirrel, till later :P .

Some guy's "Manhood can't stand going in "THOSE PLACES ALONE" :D ,

so "enter at your own risk":lol: LOL.

Looks like I have to look into some real Velvet. I was afraid it had too much nap for a model and would be just too thick.

So that was a Treehugger I saw lurking in the fabric store last time! I don't have any manly problems going to these places.. I did this at 16 searching out corduroy for roll & pleat jobs in 1962 ... THEN it should have stopped me. ehhe

I appreciate all the comments. <_<
